An Aristocrat through and through…
March 5th, 2012
Countess Violet wears an Edwardian two piece ensemble made using the finest purple striped silk which is trimmed with vintage laces…
She has a rather stern face, a wicked tongue yet she has a heart of gold which can be seen through her kindly eyes.
Wearing a hat trimmed with silk chiffon and tiny adornments…
Further detail of her costume can be seen here showing beautiful draping which falls naturally, allowing the fabric to pool around her…
Vintage lace adorns Violet’s jacket, under which she wears a blouse made using cream lawn, more vintage lace and a silk bow.
Lace gloves are worn and in one hand holds a handkerchief…
In the other hand she holds a walking cane. Her undergarments are simple yet pretty and on her feet she wears black leather boots…
Violet’s once dark hair has turned silver grey with time,
though remaining darker shades can be seen at the back.
Tiny Amethyst earrings are worn in her ears…
As always all hand~sewn by me.
Violet is a specially commissioned piece, however should you have any enquiries regarding her or any other doll,
please do e~mail me…

I really love this doll, the face and hair is beautifully done – and as always the clothes are incredible – that blouse is so striking! xxx

She is wonderful! Love Downton Abbey and it looks like you have Daisy and Ms. Patmore look alikes in your currently available page!
Morning Jayne,
Pleased you like her she was a pleasure to make.
Oh my gosh, Daisy and Ms Patmoore were made absolutely ages ago and are long since gone, they now reside in SA.
My web designer did updates and since there have been problems with my blog and website. Everything was lost…… and it looks like my side bar may not be retrievable… I am gutted. He should have a back ups – but………?? I am hoping beyond hope they will be retrievable….
Meanwhile, I’ll go and put a sold sign against them.
Downton Abbey is just brilliant isn’t it Jayne?
xxx
