Have a Happy Halloween…

October 31st, 2009

Its that time of year again, we have a basket full of sweets waiting for the trick or treaters to come knocking. This year is the first year my two haven’t asked to go out, although Rebecca is planning to wear her costume to answer the door…. I hope she doesn’t scare the little ones!

I’ve been working until ‘stupid o’clock’ these past few weeks, trying to make head way on orders which I need to get out for Christmas. Today I am pouring and cleaning green-ware which will hopefully dry sufficiently enough so that I can fire the pieces tomorrow evening, ready to start painting on Monday.

Speaking of painting, Wednesday was Art Class again, Dad and I are making great progress with our paintings, were almost done, Dad’s waiting for the oils to dry before continuing with his masterpiece… while I need to blend, blend, blend… a few things here and there. I thought you may like to see an update…

The paintings are looking amazing! I love the pastel shades of your rose Lisa. Australians are celebrating Halloween more often these days. Our little neighbour knocked on our door dressed as a Witch – my husband asked her “where is your broom stick, how are you going to get home again?”, she said as she took her hat off, “I’m not really a witch, See!” We gave her some chocolates and I’m sure they would have melted before she arrived home again! keep up the good work! Hi Terry,
Your neighbours little girl sounds absolutely adorable… Halloween was quiet here, we had maybe 6 callers in all, but poor Rebecca who was sitting all evening in her witches costume at my parents waiting for callers didn’t even have one, she did get to eat some of the sweets though!
I’m pleased you like my painting, its nowhere near being finished and I don’t think I’ll be able to work on it much this week as Art Class is cancelled and I’m so busy with orders.
Have a great week.. and lets talk again soon.

Thank you to all who have welcomed me to ‘blogland’ its really is very kind of you all!
Thanks also for your very kind comments about my painting, it really is strange working in a larger scale than I am used too, but I have to say its quite enjoyable…!

    Thanks Again…
