Tea for Two…

May 29th, 2011

Look what was waiting for me in my inbox this morning…
My gorgeous client Emma kindly sent a few pictures of dolls I made for her settled in their new home…

A stunning French Chateau and the second home of a wealthy couple who live in London. Every summer they send their daughter
over to stay with her Aunt…

Here she is with her Aunt who adores her… and she is finding it quite difficult to choose between the delicious macaroons or a slice of cake…
Which would you choose…?

I think Emma has put together a stunning collection and I am just thrilled she allowed me to share it with you here on my blog…
Wonderful isn’t it…?

Gorgeousness…

May 24th, 2011

Its been a crazy busy week so far… I wish I could say I was having a quiet weekend but the opposite is true…
its my daughter Rebecca’s 13th birthday on Thursday…

… And like a mad woman, I said ‘yes’ when she asked if she could have a sleepover with four of her gorgeous friends…
… I must be nuts …!!

Speaking of gorgeousness…
My client Francois asked me to dress two cribs and here they are…
Do you think he will like them…?

As you all know
I love all things vintage… in fact I think
… vintage may be my one weakness …

For both cribs I used vintage handkerchiefs, vintage silk gauze,
silk, fine cotton, beautiful soft vintage tulle & gorgeous vintage laces…
As always, everything is hand sewn!

And So To Bed…

May 9th, 2011

I was asked to reupholster a bed for my lovely client Jon.
I’ve made lots of ‘real’ bedding items & cushions for our home
and I felt sure I could do it in miniature scale too…

I love opulent bedding and lots and lots of cushions…
In fact, I think cushions may be my one weakness…
Jon wanted the bed fairly plain ~ and ~ his wish was my command…

Jon requested the colour scheme, its for a child’s bedroom…
Everything is hand-sewn… even the mattress with its 36 buttons…
the vintage lace edge sheets and pillows and pillow cases too…

I hope he likes it… what do you think… ?
