Living the dream…

November 19th, 2015

Well, we’ve done it… we have moved… it wasn’t an easy road getting here, but now we are here we can barely believe Marr House is ours.

Beautiful isn’t it…? with gorgeous open views from every window, lovely long walks in every direction, we keep pinching ourselves…

We really are living the dream at Marr House, Lynesack, Butterknowle, Bishop Auckland, County Durham, DL13 5QF

A Very Special Commission…

May 6th, 2015

Several months ago I received a lovely email from a very special Mum called Shar, she commissioned a couture piece c1900 from me
for her very special Daughter, Nicola…
it was to be a special surprise birthday present,
keeping it secret wasn’t easy… but we managed, just…

It involved covering the mannequin with silk, then making a pattern, there was also hand-dying of silk and chiffon, along with lots of Swarovski crystal and embellishments, its true it was incredibly labor intensive… I thoroughly enjoyed creating it… and more importantly, both Mother & Daughter love it…

If you’re interesting in commissioning a piece of couture or a figure from me, then please do e-mail…
